Very shortly you will be receiving your ANOC. The ANOC is a notice you receive from your “Medicare Advantage” or your standalone “Part D Prescription Plan” (PDP) in late September or early October. The ANOC gives a summary of any changes in the plan’s costs and coverage that will take effect January 1 of next year. Review the ANOC, to see if your plan will continue to meet your health care needs in the following year. If you do not receive an ANOC, you should contact your plan provider or call our office. The ANOC is typically mailed or emailed with the plan’s Evidence of Coverage (EOC), which is a more comprehensive list of the plan’s costs and benefits for the upcoming year.

If you’re happy with your plan, and the changes made are acceptable for you for the upcoming year, no action is required. Keep in mind there is never a charge to come in to discuss your plan and its benefits.

You should schedule an appointment to review, if any of the following things have happened over the last year.

  1. A significant change in your health and or your prescription needs.
  2. You’re concerned with the (ANOC) changes made by your plan for next year. (I expect numerous changes this year)
  3. You were less than satisfied with how claims were paid on your behalf.
  4. You believe that you’re not receiving everything you can from your plan.
  5. You would like to see what additional benefits, that may be available to you, in the upcoming year from another plan.
